What are the Benefits for a Soldier?

Apart from the life insurance and pension, soldiers are eligible to other privileges. These veterans benefits are based on the length of service of a soldier. There are four major benefit programs for military troops who received a general or honorable discharge. This includes education benefits, disability compensation, Veteran's pension programs and free or low-priced medical care through VA hospitals and other medical facilities. Apart from that, there are veterans benefits that provide exceptional programs that include home loans, financial assistance, employment and job training, counseling, small businesses and loans, franchise opportunities and burials and memorials. The PTSD support benefit is available in all military branches. This type of benefit provides medical treatment and psychotherapy sessions for those soldiers who are suffering from PTSD or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder brought normally by life-threatening events and military combat.

Veterans of War

In a lifetime, there have been hundreds to thousands of known and unknown wars that took place from various parts of the world. World War I is one of the most recognized wars in history. Also called the Great War and the War to End All Wars, World War I generated virtually 40 million casualties, both in civilians and military groups. Those soldiers that have survived the most chaotic time in mankind are called the veterans of war.

Since the World War I (WWI) happened from 1914 to 1918, nearly all veterans were already dead and have served their duty in their respective countries. Today, the veterans of modern war are those who have fought in present-day battles. These servicemen and women are continuously getting special citations and great benefits that include financial help provided and given by their own government.
